Article Abstract
Extraneural manifestations including hepatitis[4],renal involvement[5,6], and autoimmune diseases[7]have been repeatedly described in AIDP.On the other hand, extraneural manifestations in CIDP would appear to be rare[8- 10].In fact, the diagnostic criteria for CIDP,derived from those originally proposed by Prineas and McLeod[11],explicitly excluded evidence of systemic disease. We report three cases with CIDP and proteinuria, two with nephrotic syndrome and one with elevated liver enzymes and proteinuria. The neurologic as well as the extraneural findings improved with treatment of CIDP.
